Built in 1893 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Bishops? House originally served as home to Idaho?s Episcopal Bishop and his family. Its original location was between Idaho and 2nd streets. Various preservation groups voiced their protest over the site?s scheduled demolition, which resulted into St. Luke?s Hospital, the property owner, deeding the place to The Friends of the Bishop House.

In 1976, the historic home was transferred to its current location and is now available for venue rentals. Its indoor areas can accommodate up to 100 guests at the lower level or main floor. Outdoors, the site may accommodate up to 125 guests at the garden. The Bishops? House is one of the most popular venues for weddings and other events, dramatic presentations, seminars, art exhibits, and family reunions.
