The Idaho Botanical Gardens can be found in Boise serving as the farm and plant nursery for the State Penitentiary Unit of Idaho until it went into closure way back in 1973. The entire garden has about a total of 13 themed gardens that focus on various plants like Rose, Alpine, Peony, Iris, Cactus, and other native plants of the area.

It is more than just a site to behold and visit but also a perfect venue for various events especially for garden weddings. It has a garden store that offers some of the plant varieties that you may want to take care of and bring home with you to have in your own garden. They also hold various seminars that encourage gardening.
