The Jefferson County Pioneer Museum is the home to the exhibit of Philo Farnsworth, best known for his contributions to the invention of the all-electronic television. It is located in Rigby, Idaho, a small city where Farnsworth went to high school and first fell in love with electronics.
It is said that it is in Rigby that Farnsworth first drafted the blueprints of a television. This is why the Jefferson County Pioneer Museum dedicates a section for Farnsworth memorabilia and old TV parts like an original TV tube used in one of his early experiments, some awards and personal items, and a bronze bust of the man himself.
Aside from the Birthplace of Television exhibit, other things can also be found at Jefferson County Pioneer Museum.
