Mc Croskey State Park was named after the owner Virgil T. Mc Croskey, a local conservationist. Viewpoints for its slopes areas are suitable for family picnics.

A narrow unimproved road is called Skyline. Ridge is visible the to the parks? chief attraction. It climbs through a cedar forest that eventually give way to countless stands of ponderous pines and lastly, to prairie. Outdoor recreational activities are available at the park. Tourists can hike, bike, ride horses and ride all-terrain vehicles. Computers are available and so are pit toilets. In the midpoint of the skyline, a single source of drinking water can be easily located. The park is remote and underutilized, which explains the different forms of wildlife. Deers, mooses and black bears thrive through this area.

The full name of the park is Maria Minerva Mc Crosky State Park. The best way to enter is through Highway 95. However, visitors can enter the park through Farmington, Washington. It?s a little disturbing though cause along its park boundaries, illegal logging still takes place.
