Unlike other caves, the Shoshone Ice Caves do not boast of beauty or spectacular sights. Although, it is pretty inside, the main thing that attracts visitors to it is the fact that it is a lava tube that traps in the cold from the winter months, keeping the inside of the natural structure to be icy and chilly even during the summer seasons.

The Shoshone Ice Caves is already a developed version of what it was in the past. Due to the overdevelopment and poor understanding of how the whole thing works, it melted down in the 1940s. It was only re-built in 1962 when the new owners studied the natural architecture.

Today, people can visit the Shoshone Ice Caves every summer.
