The Three Island Crossing is held on an annual basis, particularly on the second weekend for the month of August. It is where you can find lots of riders and horses that follow various parts of what happened in the original trail of Oregon. The reenactment for the historical pioneer wagon train happens during this event that crosses the Snake River.

This reenactment celebrates the courage of the earliest of pioneers who have made the actual crossing. Today, you can find thousands attending this event and enjoying lots of activities from arts and crafts, musical performances, pancake breakfasts, parades, ice cream gatherings, barbeques, and even some black powder shoot. It is really one great event to watch and meet the history of the crossing first hand.
