The Zoo Boise in Idaho provides visitors exciting and fun activities that are also educational and affordable. Each year, new updates and attractions are added in order to enhance the experiences of its guests.

Among its features is the Butterflies in Bloom, which can be seen from June up to Labor Day. It is one of the zoo?s most popular exhibits. In here, visitors can take a stroll through a flower filled greenhouse and witness hundreds of colorful butterflies from Costa Rica fly above and around.

Another attraction is the Zoo Farm, where guests are given the chance to feed goats, sheep, and llamas. This particular attraction is open all year round and proceeds from the Zoo Farm go to the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund.

The Perkins Coie Giraffe Encounters gives visitors a chance to get up close and personal with giraffes. Julius the Giraffe can be fed by lettuce leaves for a fee. However, only 50 visitors will be allowed to feed him throughout the day. Proceeds from this site go to the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund as well.
