Anderson Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area is state park and recreational area located in Astoria, Illinois. It is part of the Illinois State Parks system and is currently managed by the state through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

The area consists of over 2,247 acres of public hunting and fishing grounds that are open to seasonal hunting during the course of the year. Anderson Lake was once part of the private shooting grounds of the once-famous duck clubs in the area during the early half of the 1900?s. The first land purchases by the state in 1947 transformed the site into a public hunting and fishing area.

Anderson lake is what is known as a floodplain lake that is drained during the early parts of summer, planted for duck feed, and flooded to attract waterfowl in the fall.
