The Des Plaines Fish and Wildlife Area is state wildlife refuge, nature preserve, and recreational area located in Wilmington, Illinois. It is managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and is part of the Illinois State Parks system.

Des Plaines Fish and Wildlife Area was owned by the federal government before 1948. After state acquisition of the area, it became a popular site for hunters and for unmanaged day use. Today the park is still popular for hunting and fishing and is known as a productive area for anglers of all types.

There are picnic sites on the park equipped with tables, stoves, water, and large shelters. A playground is also available for park visitor use. Open water and ice fishing are allowed along the Milliken lake and Kankakee River.
