Opened in 1916, the Navy Pier is one of those traditional amusement parks that almost every great big city had in one time. The only difference is that this one in Chicago got redeveloped in the 1970s, so people can still enjoy it after all these years.

The Navy Pier was once the world’s largest pier with its 292 by 3000 feet measurement. It was initially designed to be a shipping and entertainment spot.

Attractions inside the Navy Pier include:
1. 145 feet Ferris Wheel
2. Musical carousel
3. Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows
4. Children’s Museum
5. Skyline stage used for ice skating and theater
6. Shakespeare theatre
7. Miniature golf course
8. Funhouse maze
9. Beer garden
10. IMAX theatre
11. Rentable areas
12. Navy Pier Aeroballoon
