The Old Colony Building was erected in 1894. Standing tall at 215 feet and 17 stories high, it has been the tallest building in the city in its early years.

The Old Colony Building was designed by the Holabird & Roche architectural firm. It employs round corner bays, which were common features back in those days, making it a historical structure today, not only because of its age and experience, but also because of its physical features.

Listed in the national Register of Historic Places in 1976 and designated as a Chicago Landmark in 1978, the Old Colony Building is definitely a spot to stop at for people visiting Chicago. Parties interested in taking a peek inside could find a good number of offices that welcome visitors.
