The Spitler Woods State Natural Area is a state park and natural area in Mount Zion, Illinois. It is located within the bounds of the Decatur metropolitan area.

Established in 1937, the Spitler Woods State Natural Area is home to a forest that contains one of the largest old growth woods acreages in all of central Illinois. 146 out of its total 202.5 acres are covered by forested tract known as the Spitler Woods. The site is named after Ida B. Spitler who donated the land to the state in hopes to preserve its towering trees and shaded ravines. The site is also home toe the Lincoln Trail Homestead, which is the first home of Abraham Lincoln in Illinois.

Camping, picnicking, and hiking are the top recreational activities enjoyed at the Spitler Woods State Natural Area.
