The Turkey Bluffs State Fish and Wildlife Area in Chester, Illinois. It offers 2264 acres of area available for the public?s interests in recreation.

Purchased by the state through a 75% matching grant from the USFWS and the Pittman-Robertson funding, the Turkey Bluffs State Fish and Wildlife Area is home to a wide array of different flora and fauna. It is also created to provide a venue for recreation to locals and out of town visitors. Folks can enjoy fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, hiking, and sightseeing at the park. Wildlife viewing is also possible, as well as hunting, granted that folks will have to follow a specific set of rules designated by the park and the state.

Although, reservations are not necessarily required to groups of less than 25 people, it is advised to call ahead just in case road closures and such things arise.
