The Weldon Springs State Recreation Area is a state park and recreation area in Clinton, Illinois. It offers year round recreational opportunities, making it one of the most comprehensive sites in the Illinois state parks system.

Offering 550 acres worth of space to roam around and be one with nature, the Weldon Springs State Recreation Area is named after the Weldon Springs, a unique spring in the midst of the relatively flat Grande Prairie. The site was once used as a fishing camp and was named after a prominent local citizen, Judge Lawrence Weldon. It was visited by many famous personalities, mostly national leaders like President William Howard Taft, Rev. Billy Sunday. Carrie Nation, William Jennings Bryan, and Helen Keller have also graced the site before.
