Willis Tower was formerly known as the Sears Tower. It is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere that stands at 1,450 feet and 110 stories high. The Building also held the record as the tallest builing for 25 years until Petronas Tower in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia were built in 1998. It also occupies around 140,000 square feet and three floors of the building. It features over 160-car executive parking garage, a world class broadcast platform, full-service conference center, fitness facilities, technology features and the tallest skydeck. The structure was accomplished back in 1973 and was designed by the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill for Sear, Roebuck & Company.
