Since the museum was open to the general public it has significantly grew the number of items it exhibits and displays.

Having an increase of exhibits and displays in the museum it also required an expansion of area to cover the growing collection of items. The current area for display, storage and restoration of the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum is 5,000 square feet. The expansion will be more than double where the current area holds the exhibits.
