The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson, Indiana enables its visitors to experience a by-gone era of railroading. Tucked in a picture perfect rural community, the Museum has become the premier tourist destination for thousands of people who are after the experience of sights and sounds from the post-World War II railroading. On this experience, visitors will get to immerse in the railroad industry of northwest Indiana. Among the site?s attractions are the quaint depot that features photos and artifacts, various equipment on display and under restoration that can be viewed by visitors as they walk the grounds.

The Museum also offers train rides from May to October. These rides go through on authentic railroad cabooses. There are also open air sightseeing cars that can be boarded by the visitors. Another feature is the Guest Engineer Program where one can receive a supervised operating experience in one of the site?s diesel switch engines.

While the Museum offers free admission, there is a fee for the train rides and only a limited number of seats are available.
