If you want to know more about medical history, well, the best place to visit is the Indiana Medical History Museum in Indianapolis. Visitors can easily reach this museum since it is situated on the former grounds of the Central State Hospital. The entrance is on W. Vermont St. across from N. Centennial St. The museum collection consists of medical and scientific instruments from the 19th and early 20th centuries. They are excellent in displaying objects in situ. The museum?s building is also listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Visitors can visit the museum Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Tours take place every hour and last about 1 hour. The last tour begins at 3pm. Groups of 10 or more may be scheduled in advance for Wednesdays as well as for regular operating hours. The museum is closed Sundays through Tuesdays and during holidays and special occasions. The admission fee for adults is $7, $5 for university students, and $3 for children under18.
