The seat of the state government of Indiana is the Indiana Statehouse. It can be found at 200 West Washington Street at Indianapolis in Marion County, Indiana.
Built in 1878, this is the fifth building to house the government of the state. One of the few capitols to contain the three branches of government in one place, the statehouse currently houses the chambers of the Indiana General Assembly, as well as the offices of the Supreme Court of Indiana and the Governor of Indiana, as well as other state officials.

Located inside the statehouse grounds are over 40 public artworks that depict the history of the state. Prominent individuals and events are featured at the capitol grounds. Modeled after the US State Capitol, the statehouse is also a historical landmark. It was added to the NHL on August 28, 1975.
