The LST (Landing Ship Tank) is an authentic WWII warship, she is the only operational LST in existence.
Churchill called the LST the ship that won the war because it was essential in sea-to-land invasions. The LST 325 carried back-up force for the troops going ashore at Omaha Beach on June 6 1944.
LST 325 is 328 ft. long, 50 ft. wide and 1,625 tons of steel.
The LST 325 is open for tours Tues.-Sun. tours are led by dedicated and very learned crew members, some who served on LSTs.
