One of the National Football League’s elite teams is the Indianapolis Colts. This Super Bowl-winning team calls the Lucas Oil Stadium its home, where the team has proven to be hard to defeat inside its domed field. Opened on February on August 24 2008, this multi-purpose sports and recreation stadium is one of the latest high-tech stadium to be opened during the last three years.

The stadium was named after Lucas Oil, an oil company who purchased the naming rights in 2006. The stadium features a retro-look that aims to be one with the city’s movement towards historic fieldhouse architectural style. The stadium features a sliding dome roof and a giant glass wall window.
Aside from hosting the Colts’ games, the stadium also serves as venues for concerts, band competitions, shows, conventions, and other social events.
