The Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Garden is proud to be the country’s only garden that’s maintained by a full staff of volunteers. Must-see attractions in the garden include its collection of award-winning roses, the Home Gardening Learning Center, the Waterfall Garden, the Gazebo, the Herb Garden, the recently expanded formal English Garden, and the Japanese Garden. Other exciting collections found at the garden include conifers, nut trees and dwarf fruits, geraniums, hibiscus, hosias, azaleas, ornamental grasses, and peonies.

Free concert series are regularly held at the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Garden, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. For souvenir shopping, visitors may drop by at the Gift Shop. Educational materials may be accessed, on the other hand, at the garden’s library and the Heinemann Center.
