The Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is an area in West Branch, Iowa that is being maintained by the National Park Service. This site honors the life of the 31st President of the United States of America, Herbert Hoover. There are several buildings inside the site including a two-room small cottage, where Henry Hoover was born.

There are as well other buildings among these are the first West Branch Schoolhouse, a Quaker meeting house where the family goes to worship together with their friends, and a blacksmith shop similar to the one that Hoover?s father owned.

Moreover, within the area is a Presidential Library and Museum that is operated by the National Archives. This museum showcases the life and career of the former president. Also in the area is the gravesite of Henry Hoover and his wife Lou Henry Hoover. The gravesite is located in a hillside overlooking his birthplace.
