Rock & Roll fans will definitely rock their heads out when they visit the Rock ?n? Roll museum in Arnolds Park, Iowa.
The museum is a tribute to contributions of the state of Iowa to the long history of this music genre. During the 1950s, when rock ?n? roll was just starting, Iowa was at the forefront of this ?revolutionary? and ?forward-thinking? trend. The radio stations started blaring this new music and soon enough, every town in Iowa has its own rock ?n? roll band.
The museum aims to honor and preserve the history and legacy of Iowa Rock ?n? Roll. Housed inside the museum are thousands of memorabilia, pictures, and other related stuff. Each Labor Day, the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association honors bands, radio stations, musicians and individuals who contributed to the growth of Rock ?n? Roll.
