The Kinney Pioneer Museum contains a lot of artifacts most especially in its collection of Meredith Wilson. You can also find a log cabin, a school house, blacksmith shop that dates back to 1912 along with original furnishings and tools. Interestingly, you can also get to see an ancient railroad caboose and a covered wagon that dates back to the 18th century.

The volunteers of the museum know and show to visitors how to weave rugs and make your own brooms every Sunday. The museum can be found at the entrance of the airport of Mason City right on US Highway 18. It is open to the general public and it can be reserved for special group tours for as long as it is set by appointment.
