The Lake Macbride State Park is 2,180 acres and offers many choices of activities for those who love to go outdoors. Activities like camping, picnicking, boating, swimming, fishing and hunting are popular in the area. There are two units: northern unit and southern unit.

The southern unit has a less modern campground and boat ramps but it has the necessary facilities for camping and picnic areas. It also has a Frisbee golf course and a prairie. The northern unit has a more modern campground complete with modern boat ramps with beach and boat rental. The northern unit of the park has 50 camping sites with 37 electrical hookups, showers and flush toilets while the southern unit has 60 sites with non-flush toilets and without electrical wirings.

Pontoons, motorboats, canoes and paddle boats are available for renting in the Lake Macbride State Park. Fishing is also popular because there is a 812-acre artificial lake that offers great catches like channel catfish, spotted bass and muskies. Visitors can locate the park office in the northern unit.
