The Muscatine Art Center is a non-profit and permanent institution that aims to collect, preserve and display various objects that can be up for exhibit. They are not just merely for aesthetic purposes but more for the educational purposes of the coming younger generations. It helps in portraying the history and showcase the Musser Mansion with its contemporary art gallery that is also greatly associated with decorative arts.

The museum was established in 1965 and it holds and entertains group tours that do not come with any charge. You just have to schedule a possible tour by calling the center’s office and have everything booked weeks in advance. It welcomes everyone to become volunteers or even members under individual and corporate accounts.
