Although, there are tons of other tulip-related celebrations in the US, the Orange City Tulip Festival still tends to stand out from the rest. In honor of the city?s ancestors, people from Orange City actually participate widely in this yearly event.

The main thing that sets this tulip festival apart from the others is the fact that there are no tulip fields in sight around this city in Iowa. Instead, locals grow their flowers in their own backyards and gardens. They also dress up in traditional Dutch garb to set the mood better.

The Orange City Tulip Festival features a series of events, including street dancing, flower shows, Broadway performances, and parades. It is held yearly every 3rd weekend of May.
