The Rand Park would let you see the Mississippi River at its most breathtaking aspect. It was formed in 1882 right from land that used to be cow pastures. Its named was taken from George Rand who is the mayor of the Keokuk place during that time. It is then also home to the gravesite of the Chief Keokuk. It is marked with a statue and a monument that is created by Nellie Walker, a female sculptor.
It was given full dedication way back in 1913. The park also has other interesting features like an amazing flower garden and a fountain. It also has a pond plus a golf course that is composed of 18 holes, several playground facilities and a lot more.
