Completed in 1887, the Abilene’s Victorian Inn was once the home of local doctor Edward Hazlett and his family. When the doctor passed away in 1915, his widow sold off the home to local attorney Arthur Hurd and his wife. The new owners’ significant remodelling eventually caused the house to be twice its original size, having enlarged the kitchen and adding a sunroom, bedrooms and bathrooms, and a formal dining room. In 1992, couple Don & Diana McBride became the new owners of the house and turned it into a full-service bed & breakfast inn. All rooms are equipped with its own private shower and bathroom, complementary Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a VCR player. Access to the inn’s video library is free as well.
