Constructed by a wealthy Concordia local, Napoleon Bonaparte Brown in 1905, the Brown Grand Theatre is a majestic opera house in Concordia, Kansas. It is dubbed as the ?most elegant theater? that?s located between Kansas City and Denver.

The Brown Grand Theatre features Renaissance style architecture, designed by the famous Kansas architect, Carl Boller. It opened its doors in 1907 with the premiere of The Vanderbilt Cup. From then on, it continued to function as a theatre and a movie palace, and serves as one up to this day.

Valued for its role in enhancing cultural life in the area, the Brown Grand Theatre has been listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It still hosts popular events today.
