The Haskell Indian Nations University is a tertiary education providing institution that is specially designed for folks of Native American descent. What made the school very special is that it offers lower tuition fees than other higher education institutions. It was founded as the United States Indian Industrial Training School in 1884.

Offering major degrees in Indian studies, business administration, elementary education, and environmental science, the Haskell Indian Nations University Is the home to the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame, which honors famous Haskell athletes like Billy Mills and Jim Thorpe. It also has the Haskell Cultural Center, which is an archive and museum of Native American material.

To get admitted into the Haskell Indian Nations University, the student has to be a member of a federally recognized Native American tribe.
