It is an art museum that collects work of sculptures and paintings of Kansas?s artists. One thousand works of John Stewart Curry, Paintings of Regionalist artist, an extensive collection of artworks by the Prairie Print Makers and the works of Larry Swall, Shirley Smith and Robert Sudlow dominate the art gallery. The museum houses Kansas State University exhibits on travels on a global scale. The museum collects no fees. During Tuesday s through Friday s, guided tours are available. The museum is a vital tool for the research and teaching missions of the Kansas State University. The Beach Museum showcases Arts among the Arch, a public program on Selected Thursday evenings. The museum was opened in October 1966. it displays KSU?s cache of art collection. Approximately 1,500 works of art that focuses on African Art and Midwest artists of the 20th century are encased in the museum. The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art fulfills the challenge of presenting exhibitions and programs of local, national and global interests. The humanities students appreciate the greatness of the artworks and the life of the artists behind them.
