The McPherson Scottish Festival happens in a full weekend of Scottish activities that are authentic and traditional. It includes the performances of massed pipe bands, some Celtic music and other athletic competitions right at the Highlands. It also has various demonstrations of other dances of the Irish people.

It also features a clan fire that is held in one ceremony filled with a lot of music and even free movies that revolve around the Scottish culture. All throughout the weekend, all its guests can get to watch the athletes compete and even listen to the entertaining musicians. You can also get to shop for souvenirs that you can bring with you at home like swords that are reproduced and even walking sticks which are handmade.
