One of the most visited attractions in Kansas is the Museum of Independent Telephony which was built to illustrate the developments and progress made to the telephone. The Museum of Independent Telephony has a wide range of vintage phones which is no longer being used today. Expect to see a recreation of vintage telephone exchange and exhibits of glass insulators and old phones inside. The Museum of Independent Telephony is open Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This museum pays tribute to various non-bell system phone companies that bridge communication between the Midwest and West communities. The Museum of Independent Telephony is open to everybody who wants to catch a glimpse of different telephony equipment and units.
