The Mushroom Rock State Park is a state park and recreation area in Marquette, Kansas. It is Kansas? smallest state park with only 5 acres of area.
Occupying the land that was originally owned by the Ellsworth County Historical Society, the Mushroom Rock State Park is best noted for its mushroom rock formations. These things are much notable for their uniqueness, basically shaped like mushrooms, making them stand out. Visitors can see two of these giant mushrooms as well as a massive shoe rock among many other rock formations.
Sadly, not much is available at the Mushroom Rock State Park in terms of recreation and facilities. There are, however, trails that are ideal for hiking. Camping is also not allowed.
