The Wagon Bed Spring is a historic spot in Grant County, Kansas. It played a major role in the Santa Fe Trail, serving as a watering spot used by travelers.

It is said that it is very important to stay on the trail, so travelers could reach this point. This area will provide the much needed water refill to travelers on their way to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Those who did not take the right route and pass by this area could easily die of dehydration, as other routes are very dry and does not have a reliable water source.

Before the Santa Fe Trail, the Wagon Bed Spring also served Native Americans.
Today, the Wagon Bed Spring is a National Historic Landmark.
