The Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is a state park and recreation area in Buckhorn, Kentucky. It features the beautiful hills that the state of Kentucky is very famous for.

Established in 1961, the Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park was created as a means to maximize the Buckhorn Lake. Tucked away in the mountains, the area offers some of the most dramatic sceneries in the state. And due to its seclusion, it has also become touted as the “Great Escape”, offering visitors a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of their regular lives.

Visitors of the Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park can enjoy a lot of things while at the site which includes birding, boating, elk watching, fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming, horseshoeing, miniature golfing, and shuffleboarding. The site also has a lodge, playground, and basketball court.
