The Carr Creek State Park is a state park and recreation area in Sassafras, Kentucky. It features the Carr Creek Lake as its main attraction.

The Carr Creek State Park traces its roots back to the 1770s, when the site first became an early settlement for pioneers. A dam was created in the 1900s, though, leading to the creation of the state park.

The Carr Creek State Park stands out from the Kentucky state parks system for its unique features. It has a marsh environment, which is very unusual for the Eastern Kentucky mountain area, making it quite a great spot to go wildlife viewing. A great amount of animal life can be found at the park, including wild turkey, red winged blackbird, warblers, ruffed grouse, bobwhite, raccoon, and green herons just to name a few.
