The Daniel Boone National Forest is located in the south eastern part of Lexington. It is where you can find the Natural Bridge that measures about 75 feet in width and 65 feet in height. It was naturally created by strong forces of nature including water and wind. In its surrounding area which is a known state park, you can find all the rest of the amazing natural foundations made out of rock. You can also find a gorge several miles in the northern part of the Red River.

The Daniel Boone Forest measures about 707,000 in acres and is composed of rugged terrains that stretches to about 3,400 miles made up of cliffs in sandstones. It is an ideal place for hikers and even those who like fishing.
