The Fishtrap Lake State Park is a state park and recreation area in Shelbiana, Kentucky.it offers 300 acres of space for various recreational opportunities.
Noted for its setting, the Fishtrap Lake State Park is a place that has always been well noted. Historically, it has been used as a hunting ground for Native Americans. The area was so rich that the tribes made a pact not to establish permanent settlements in the area, so it will be preserved and they can prevent wildlife extinction.
The Fishtrap Lake State Park became a park in 2003, though. It features the Fishtrap Lake that was created by the Army Corp of Engineers in order to control flooding along the Big Sandy and Ohio Rivers.
