The Great American Brass Band Festival is hosted by the hometown band of Danville which is called as the Advocate Brass Band. It is a non profit band of the state that is held annually during the month of June. Its highlights include consistent celebration of music that starts on the night of Friday.

It is participated by numerous brass bands along with a parade that is extravagant. It is also where you can find a decorator picnic, some extravagant fireworks, and it ends with the yearly Great American Balloon Race. It is held right at the Danville-Boyle county airport. If you are great lover and fan of music, then this is the event that you should not ever miss.
