The Kentucky Horse Park is located in Lexington, which is also known as the Thoroughbred City and the Horse Capital of the World. Besides horseback riding, there are numerous things to do in the park.

Located within the park are two museums, the American Saddlebred Museum and the International Museum of the Horse, which introduces visitors to the impressive 55-million history of equine animals. At the Breeds Barn, almost fifty different horse breeds are on display and take part in the park?s Parade of Breeds during the months of March to October.

Those interested in horse racing should drop by at the Hall of Champions while those who are interested in horse-drawn rides should visit the Horse Drawn Tour site.

Other interesting attractions found in the park are the Mare & Foal Show and the Farrier Shop, where visitors are introduced to the ancient art of making horseshoes.
