The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is best known for its Louisville slugger bats. And rightly so, since it’s the birthplace of Major League Baseball’s Official Bat. The factory had been involved in manufacturing slugger bats since 1984 and is famous for making that “cracking” sound as the bat hits the ball.

One of the newest exhibits on display in the museum is the Norman Rockwell Exhibit, a travelling exhibition that showcases the artist’s sports-themed masterpieces. Rockwell, for those unaware, is best known for his iconic covers in the Saturday Evening Post.

Another popular feature in the Slugger Museum & Factory is the Walk of Fame, which is actually an extension of the museum and reaches all the way to the city’s sidewalks. It features pieces made by famous sculptor Wyatt Gragg, with bronze home plates where the names and career highlights of players are engraved.
