The Mineral Mound State Park is a state park and recreation area in Eddyville, Kentucky. It features a lot of things to see and do, but is most famous as a golfing destination.

Taking its name after the former estate of Willis B. Machen, known as Mineral Mound, the Mineral Mound State Park also boasts its connection to famous author Scott Fitzgerald. Machen was the grandfather of Fitzgerald?s wife, Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald and the site used to be the family?s farm. Today, however, it is best known for its recreational opportunities which include fishing and boating on Lake Barkley, where the park is situated, as well as hiking and picnicking. The park is most famous for its challenging 18-hole golf course that is open year round.
