The My Old Kentucky Home State Park is a state park, historic site, and recreation area in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is one of the top attractions in the state of Kentucky.

The My Old Kentucky Home State Park traces its roots back to 1795 when it was initially built as a plantation by John Rowan, a former US Senator. The site was originally known as Federal Hill and is noted for being a social center in the state, being a regular meeting place for politicians during Rowan?s time. According to some tales, the plantation was also the main inspiration to songwriter Stephen Foster?s (who was also a relative of Rowan?s) song, ?My Old Kentucky Home?, where the site got its name. The song was also the state song of Kentucky as per designation in 1928. The house itself was featured on a US postage stamp in 1992 and also one of the symbols that can be found on Kentucky state quarters that were issued in 2002.
