The Old Fort Harrod State Park is a state park and recreation area in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. It commemorates the first permanent settlement in the state of Kentucky.

Old Fort Harrod State Park traces its roots back to 1776 when James Harrod built Fort Harrod. The fort was created as a means of protection for the new settlement. The population continued to grow as time passed by and what was a small camp a couple of centuries ago is already what people know as Harrodsburg today.

Despite being only a reproduction of the original fort, the Old Fort Harrod State Park is bustling with history and entertainment. Visitors could explore a series of replica cabins and community structures like a school. Folks can also visit the museum and the Pioneer Cemetery which is the oldest cemetery located west of the Allegheny Mountains.
