The Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History and the Bardstown Historical Museum founds its home in the Spalding Hall Chapel that was also restored. The historical museum displays gifts from kings like Charles X and even from France?s Louis Philippe. It also features various relics of the American Indian natives, the weapons used during the Civil War and other ancient children?s toys.

The Spalding Hall once served as a seminary and a college that was once called as St. Joseph. It then became a hospital when the Civil War came. The museum is also friendly to the handicapped visitors and displays a lot of antique bottles including of course the medicinal whiskeys. You would find the various novelty containers for whiskey highly interesting to see.
