The Taylorsville Lake State Park is a state park and recreation area in Taylorsville, Kentucky. It is a great place to go to when looking for the right spot for some serious fishing.

Established in 1983, the Taylorsville Lake State Park features the Taylorsville Lake as its main attraction. The lake was named in honor of President Zachary Taylor?s father, Richard Taylor, who gave the core 60 acres of his very own property to create the town of Taylorsville. Like many recreational lakes in the country, it was created by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is popular for being the most heavily stocked lake for fishing in the entire state of Kentucky.

Visitors of the Taylorsville Lake State Park can enjoy biking, birding, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding at the site.
