The Cypremort Point State Park got its name from the word cypremort, a French term meaning dead cypress. It is a recreational park open to the public and has a panoramic view. A beach specially designed for this purpose has picnic sites with pavilions. It has modern amenities like restrooms, and showers fitted for outdoors.

They have barbecue pits in the picnic areas. There is a pier dedicated for fishing, a launching area for sailboats in the beach and 6 cabins for hire. The structures in this park are no smoking areas. Large grassy areas offer a playground where one can play volleyball, football, among others.

The Cypremort State Park is a state park that offers water activities like fishing, sightseeing and boating. Campsites are not available at this park. Golden Age/Golden Access Passport card holders must present a valid ID upon checking in at the park. The available cabins and lodges are equipped with some basic kitchen instruments and tools like pots, kettles, coffee pots, linens, pillows and exact number of towels.
